Notes:
- After a long, dry
spell, Charles Carpenter qualified for an IHRA national event at Epping, N.H. in
13th position. The last time Carpenter made "the show" was September,
2003 at Maryland International Raceway.
Charles Carpenter Quote:
“Wow - It feels good to
qualify. It is so good to be on the positive side for a change. After our wreck
back in May, any day of racing is a good day, but it is definitely more exciting
to qualify.
“Qualifying in the 13th
spot is a real encouragement. Three spots up the (qualifying) ladder makes us
think we are doing better with our set-up. We go up against Mitch Stott in the
first round of eliminations, and while he is always tough to beat, we’ve got
some ideas of where we need to be to keep going rounds.”
